Where and when

Two coasts, two seasons, one point of contact

Vantage runs on the same calendar a lot of boats already run on. Southeast Florida through the winter, from Palm Beach down through Fort Lauderdale to Miami. The Maine coast through the summer, from Kittery to Bar Harbor. If your boat moves between them, you are not hiring two providers and hoping they speak to each other.

Winter

Southeast Florida

Vantage is based in Lake Park, on the Lake Worth Lagoon, and works Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade counties. That corridor is roughly ninety miles of Intracoastal, five working inlets, and the densest concentration of yards and marine trades anywhere in the country, which is exactly what makes a vendor network worth having here.

South Florida is also brutal on boats. Year-round sun, salt that never washes off on its own, water warm enough to grow a bottom in weeks, and a storm season that decides how much slack the dock lines should have. A boat in this corridor is not resting between seasons. It is aging, continuously.

  • Palm Beach and West Palm Beach

Lake Worth Lagoon, Singer Island, Riviera Beach, North Palm Beach, Jupiter, and the Lake Park marinas Vantage is based alongside.

  • Fort Lauderdale and Broward

The New River, Las Olas, the 17th Street corridor, Dania Beach, Pompano, and Lighthouse Point.

  • Miami and Miami-Dade

Biscayne Bay, Coconut Grove, Key Biscayne, Miami Beach, Haulover, and the Miami River yards.

If your boat moves with the season

The usual arrangement for a migrating boat is two separate providers who never speak. Whatever was noted in Maine in September is not in anyone's hands in Florida in December, and the boat starts every season from zero.

Running both ends with one person removes the handoff entirely. The same captain closes her, delivers her or coordinates the delivery, opens her at the other end, and carries the same maintenance record and the same list of what was watched last season straight across.

  1. Step 1

    Close

Systems shut down properly, canvas handled, the boat documented in the state she was left in.

  2. Step 2

    Move

Delivered by a licensed captain, or the delivery coordinated and tracked, billed for the time it takes.

  3. Step 3

    Open

Commissioned and tested at the other end, safety gear checked, and every system confirmed under load.

  4. Step 4

    Carry over

The maintenance record, the watch list, and the vendor history move with the boat rather than restarting.

Common questions

What happens to my Florida boat when you go north for the summer?
The summer schedule is planned with every Florida owner before the season, not sprung on them. For boats that stay south, the arrangement is agreed in advance, whether that is a reduced summer schedule, a trusted local vendor coordinated by Vantage, or a lay-up plan for the hurricane season. Nothing is left to be figured out in July.
My boat only ever sits in one place. Does the two-season thing matter?
Only in one way that helps you: Captain Trace works both markets, so he sees how boats age in a hard salt environment and in a hard freeze environment. Most owners are single-region and are served exactly the same way.
Will you deliver the boat between the two?
Yes. The run is captain work, billed for the time it takes, and it is described on the captain services page. For owners on Full Management it means the same person closes the boat at one end and opens her at the other.
How far outside these areas will you go?
The regular weekly schedule is built around the marinas listed on this page, because a weekly commitment only means something if the drive is realistic. Deliveries, refit oversight, and project work travel further. Ask about a specific location rather than assuming it is out of range.
